Position Summary
We are seeking an Assistant Store Manager with a minimum of six (6+) months of management or 3rd key experience. The Assistant Store Manager will partner with the Store Manager to lead and develop store employees, recruit and retain top talent, maximize financial goals, and manage customer relations and satisfaction. This role requires day‑to‑day store operations oversight and a customer‑centric environment.
Responsibilities- Facilitate a customer‑centric environment by engaging customers in a friendly and professional manner and rapidly addressing customer issues.
- Assist in training and supervising Pawnbrokers to meet First Cash standards.
- Recruit top talent through company‑prescribed channels.
- Open and close the store, count cash drawers and merchandise, and ensure all procedures are followed to protect assets.
- Maintain asset protection through inventory control, property safety procedures, documentation, and securing customer loans.
- Administer store processes, including inventory, loan management, merchandising, store presentation, systems, and enterprise‑level reporting.
- Evaluate store financial statements and drive profitability through communication and goal setting.
- Ensure operating standards meet or exceed First Cash standards.
- Monitor loan qualification and buying processes to maintain value and integrity of loans issued.
- Complete assigned tasks and training for self‑development as requested.
- Communicate clearly with staff to convey the store’s mission and profit objectives.
- Stay current on product knowledge.
- Serve as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager.
- Performed related duties as assigned.
- Willing and able to perform duties for extended periods, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively supervise others.
- Willingness to work with firearms and become firearms certified if required.
- Possibility of assisting customers outside the store and retrieving products from external storage areas.
- Minimum age 18 years.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate.
- Flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Assistant Store Managers work 40+ hours a week; hours are business‑driven and not guaranteed.
- Computer literate with POS system and common office machine experience.
- Strong multi‑tasking, organizational, analytical, and cash handling abilities.
- Independent work capacity with minimal supervision.
- Excellent work ethic and strong business sense.
Assistant Store Managers are eligible for a commission of 2–8% based on gross profit and store performance. Details will be provided during the interview process.
