Field Service Technician
- Parts Washer Route
Calumet Chicago Company
- Highland, IN 46322
$25/hour starting ($52,000+/year) with raises based on performance - up to $28/hour for proven techs
Home every night. Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM. No CDL required.
Calumet Chicago Company is hiring a field service technician to service our fleet of Cuda aqueous parts washers at industrial customer locations across Northwest Indiana and the south Chicagoland area. You’ll be the face of our company at some of the largest industrial facilities in the region - U.S. Steel, Cleveland-Cliffs, and other major steel, food processing, and manufacturing facilities across NW Indiana.
You’ll drive a company-provided Ford F‑550 service truck on an established local route - no CDL required - servicing 4‑6 customer stops per day and heading home every evening.
This is real industrial work - not clean‑shirt work. Expect to remove and clean spray nozzles and arms, service turntables and chains, replace strainer filters, test and replace water pumps, and perform water and sludge reclamation. You’ll operate a water vacuum and sump pump, and occasionally use a shovel when the job calls for it. Every repair gets documented in a written service record.
This is a hands‑on, mechanical role with a clear growth path. You’ll be paired with an experienced mentor manager who trains you on our equipment, our customers, and our process. Bring a strong work ethic, a clean driving record, and the willingness to learn — we’ll provide the rest.
About us: Calumet Chicago Company is a family‑owned industrial equipment distributor and service business founded in 1963. We’ve built our reputation on going the extra mile for our customers, and our team members stay with us because they’re treated like family. Learn more at
