We are seeking a skilled and experienced AEC Proposal Graphic Designer to join our client's remote team as a contractor, starting immediately to support our client's workload ramp‑up. This is a project‑based role with a strong potential for ongoing engagement based on performance and alignment.

Job Summary

We are looking for a talented AEC Proposal Graphic Designer to support our client's proposal responses and marketing materials for large civil engineering and construction companies. The ideal candidate will have immediate availability, flexibility to scale with workflow demands, and a strong portfolio showcasing AEC proposal or compliance‑driven work.

Responsibilities

MUST HAVE proposal development experience in the AEC space, not general marketing or info graphic designers.

  • Technical drawings
  • Maps (site maps, overlays, colorized plans)
  • Phasing graphics
  • Linear schedules / mass haul diagrams
  • Proposal layout templates (InDesign)
  • Org charts and technical diagrams
  • Converting hand sketches or engineering drawings into polished graphics

Create, design, and edit materials, including print and interactive collateral such as proposals, covers, tabs, flyers, maps, aerials, logos, pictures, charts, etc.

Apply professional graphic design principles and develop new ideas to support our clients.

Provide design advice and guidance.

Design and produce visually appealing documents.

Storyboard page‑by‑page or slide‑by‑slide content with the proposal manager.

Research and bring fresh ideas to the team.

Review work to ensure the accuracy and quality of all materials produced.

Conduct a final quality review of all artwork before final production.

Create engaging visuals that convey complex technical information to a variety of audiences and readers.

Ensure integrity of communications by maintaining each client's identity, brand, standards, and programs.

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of design experience developing proposal‑oriented graphics, including infographics for an engineering or construction firm using Adobe Creative Suite.

Ability to complete tasks within tight time schedules and under strict layout controls.

Ability to use tact and diplomacy when interacting with others.

Excellent time management, planning and problem‑solving skills.

Advanced knowledge of graphic design and typography principles and applying them to solve marketing and business challenges through visual storytelling in long‑form documents.

Advanced knowledge of current graphics design (and related) software applications (e.g., "Adobe Creative Suite") and presentation software.

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Word and PowerPoint.

3D rendering skills, video editing and interactive document experience are a plus.

This role requires real AEC proposal experience — including Word + InDesign and comfort working in compliance‑driven, long‑form proposal documents. General branding or social‑only designers will not be considered.

To apply, please submit your resume and portfolio link/case studies for immediate consideration.
