As an In-House Substitute Teacher, you will be expected to plan, organize, and implement an appropriate instructional program in a learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic potential. You are challenged with new teaching methods and educational tools in an ever changing and strategic environment.
Position Requirements:- Adhering to the curriculum and lesson plans assigned by the regular teacher.
- Following procedures and achieving lesson goals.
- Assigning and explaining homework.
- Overseeing students outside of the classroom, including in the hallways and cafeteria.
- Complying with all school regulations and policies at all times.
- Taking attendance and documenting daily notes.
- Ensuring the classroom and work stations are kept clean and orderly.
- Overseeing the normal classroom rhythms and activities.
- Compiling a report for the teacher for when they return
- Collaborate with colleagues with the intent of deepening pedagogical content knowledge, improving teaching practices, and creating problem-based learning opportunities.
- Provide accommodations and modifications for the growth and success of all students.
- Manage student behavior by establishing and holding students accountable to school rules and procedures.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution with a valid state teaching license and highly qualified content knowledge.
- Experience with Learning Management Systems and Google preferred.
- Teaching: 1 year (Preferred)
Physical Requirements:
- Occasional lifting of 5 to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand or walk for 90 minutes.
- Ability to run short distances.
- Frequent bending, stooping, walking, standing, kneeling, crawling, squatting, reaching, and sitting.
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- School Year: 2025 - 2026

The pay range for this role is:
37,214. USD per year (Main)
