Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Social Worker to support students' social, emotional, and behavioral well-being for the 2026 - 2027 school year. This role involves working closely with students, families, educators, and community resources to develop and implement interventions that promote student success. The ideal candidate will be an integral part of the Special Education, Mental Health, and Student Support Teams, ensuring a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in Special Education, Mental Health, and Student Support Teams, contributing expertise and support.
  • Provide consultation and intervention strategies to general education staff, assisting with Multi‑Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) and pre‑referral processes.
  • Conduct student assessments and interviews to identify needs and develop appropriate support plans.
  • Develop and maintain case records, IEPs, FBAs, and BIPs, ensuring documentation is accurate and timely.
  • Provide individual and group counseling to students and parents on social, emotional, and behavioral challenges.
  • Develop, implement, and review student service plans, monitoring progress and adjusting interventions as needed.
  • Respond to referrals and concerns from school staff, parents, and community agencies.
  • Offer assistance and referrals for mental health, financial hardship, substance abuse, rehabilitation, child welfare, and other social services.
