Basic Qualifications

Lockheed Martin Space in Highlands Ranch, CO has an immediate opportunity for a Level 2 Engineering Planner/Project Manager to join our Engineering Planning organization. The role supports Space engineering customers by creating and maintaining detailed, resource‑loaded supplement schedules, aligning them with program and operations plans, and generating performance metrics. The goal is to help customers succeed in their engineering endeavors.
Summary of Key Duties- Develop and maintain detailed, logic‑based engineering release plans and supplemental schedules in Microsoft Project in support of the IMS.
- Support various programs with short‑and‑long‑term tasking planning.
- Work closely with the Engineering organization to maintain engineering execution plans.
- Provide status updates and maintain metrics for reporting.
- Prepare ad hoc reports such as labor analysis and rough‑cut capacity planning.
- Bachelor’s degree or MBA from an accredited college in Engineering, STEM, or Business.
- 3–5+ years of experience in planning or program management.
- Prefer 2–3 years of program planning experience within the aerospace/defense industry.
- Experience using EPDM (Engineering Product Data Management) or similar centralized engineering and design data management software.
- Experience in resource loading, capacity/constraint management, and analysis.
- Experience delivering project briefings to internal customers.
- Ability to manage multiple projects with varying scope and deadlines.
- Root‑Cause and Corrective Action experience and mindset.
- Demonstrated critical thinking and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and proven ability to work well in a team environment.
