Job Description back to topDescription:The position is for a Payload RF IPT Program Manager who is responsible for technical, cost and schedule of a cross functional aligned team responsible for delivering the payload portion of the Phase 2 The MUOSSLE IPT is a cross functional, government aligned team responsible for delivering the Phase 2 extension of the Mobile User Objective System (MUOS) satellite constellation. The RF IPT Lead is critical to the success of the MUOS Service Life Extension (SLE) because they provide authoritative technical and programmatic direction for all radio frequency (RF) engineering activities, which are the heart of the systems communications capability.
By overseeing RF architecture development, spectrum management, antenna integration, and link budget verification, the IPT Lead ensures that performance requirements for the Payload development are met on schedule and within cost constraints. The IPT lead will need to ensure rapid resolution of crossteam RF internally and externally to ensure seamless coordination with payload, launch vehicle, and ground segment partners. This focused leadership safeguards the RF subsystems integrity, reduces risk of costly redesigns, and directly supports the MUOS SLEs mandate to deliver reliable, high capacity communications for warfighters worldwide.
The IPT Member will act as a Program focal point for his/her discipline, drive technical and program decisions, and keep the team aligned with the Integrated Baseline Review (I ), Earned Value Management (EVM) and the contracts Fixed Price Incentive Fee (FPIF) requirements.
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum 7years in satellite communications, or RF Payload programs.
Proven experience on an Integrated Product Team for a government owned, Fixed Price or FPIF contract.
Strong knowledge of MUOS type narrow band SATCOM (X , Ka , UHF bands).Bachelors degree in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical or a related engineering discipline (Masters preferred).

Ability to influence cross functional teams, resolve conflicts, and present technical information clearly to both technical and non technical audiences.
Strong knowledge with Earned Value Management, Program Baseline Reviews (I /EDR/FDR), and general understanding of DFARS/ FAR contract clauses.provisions
Proficiency with MBSE tools (i.e. Cameo, DOORS), system architecture modeling, and configuration management processes.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time:
The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $151,200 - $266,570. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidates final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
