Job Overview
Lockheed Martin is looking for a highly motivated Systems Engineer to become a lead in the System Analysis Team.
Responsibilities- Lead technical planning, system integration, verification & validation, cost & risk analysis, supportability & effectiveness analyses for total systems.
- Perform mass properties analyses and integration, assessing systematic mass reduction opportunities and ensuring accurate mass, CG, MOI data throughout product lifecycle.
- Conduct other system‑level analyses at all stages: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance, and disposal.
- Translate customer or product requirements into total system solutions, respecting technical, schedule and cost constraints.
- Generally 5+ years of related experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or equivalent combined education/experience.
- Experience in Systems Integration, Test, Analysis and/or Verification.
- Test planning and execution with understanding of interdependencies.
- Experience with mass properties calculations (Weight, CG, MOI).
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and solid modeling applications (IDEAS, CREO, Solid Works).
- Experience in MATLAB, Mathcad, VBA, Python or similar programming tools.
- Key contributor to weight control and reduction efforts.
- Ability to support technical concerns with weight reduction application.
- Capability to write Mass Properties procedures, practices and/or specifications.
- Experience working in integrated product teams, interacting with other engineering fields, technicians, subcontractors and customers.
- Familiarity with production environments, crane operations, manufacturing and assembly techniques.
- Preferred: prior spacecraft or aircraft testing experience.
- Experience with data reduction and simple error analysis.
- Basic understanding of systems thinking skills and behaviors.
The position requires a government security clearance. Applicants must be US citizens.
Clearance level:
Public Trust.
Onsite full‑time at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Schedule:
9‑hour day, 80‑hour week, every other Friday off.
Annual base salary range (California, Massachusetts, New York excluding major metros, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington, Washington DC): $109,200 – $192,510.
