Pay:
The annual base salary range for this position is $73,400 – $146,165; final offers consider the scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, and market and business factors.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

This role is for an Electro Mechanical Cable and Harness Design Checking Engineer II on the Enterprise Cable and Harness team, responsible for product design, development, and production support for the Cable and Interconnects team across multiple space programs. You will serve as a meticulous ECAD/MCAD design checker, ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and compliance of electronic and mechanical design drawings while collaborating closely with design engineers, product managers, and quality teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Check ECAD and MCAD drawings to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable standards and guidelines. Verify that cable and harness design documentation meets requirements, design rules, and manufacturing constraints. Collaborate with design engineers to resolve drawing discrepancies and improve design clarity and manufacturability. Work with product managers and quality teams to ensure drawings and documentation support effective production, inspection, and test.

Support product design, development, and production efforts for the Cable and Interconnects team across multiple programs. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS –

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor of Science or higher from an accredited college in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education. Knowledge of cable manufacturing processes (connectors, crimping, soldering, forming, testing). Experience reviewing ECAD drawings (e.g., Zuken E3 Cable) and MCAD drawings (e.g., Solid Works, CATIA, Creo). Familiarity with IPC?2221/2222, ASME Y14.5, ISO?9001, and military drawing standards. At least 1+ years of professional experience.

While no clearance is required to start, must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance; U.S. Citizenship required.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Proficiency with ECAD and MCAD tools. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and wiring diagrams. Relevant certifications such as IPC Designer (CID, CID?

M), GD&T, or Quality Assurance (e.g., CQE).

Experience with project management or ticket?tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Azure Dev Ops). Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as SMT, CNC machining, and injection molding.
