Systems Engineer
Responsibilities
- Leads team of system integrators to understand all aspects of European Service Module (ESM) production and operation with respect to Orion integration.
- Interfacing with international partner chief engineers to understand top technical issues and drive issues to closure.
- Supports resolution of anomalies during tests and production operations.
- Understands how the ESM performs to complete Orion mission objectives.
- Reviews documentation to ensure compliance to requirements.
- Responsible for verification and certification of requirements from ESM to Orion.
- Supports ESM production and test activities to support Orion milestones.
- Tracking and understanding clear work scope definitions.
- Support proposal generation, and appropriately capturing ESM integration scope.
- Supporting customer and ESM supplier program management.
- Requires frequent international and domestic travel.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Demonstration of technical leadership.
- Understanding of systems engineering process.
- Strong communication skills.
- Understanding of complex spacecraft systems.
- Experience with root cause analysis.
- US Citizenship required to perform this role.
- ITEX process familiarity.
- Experience working with international partners.
- CAM Experience.
- Project Management Certification.
- Familiarity with mission integration or analysis.
- Experience with Orion and Orion Systems.
- Experience with NASA Customer Prior usage of Atlassian tools.

Pay RateThe annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $128,400 - $226,435. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
