Director of Engineering / Project Execution About the Opportunity
Location:
Denver, CO
Compensation: $180,000 - $210,000 Base + Bonus + Long-Term Incentives
We are partnering with a growing energy infrastructure organization seeking a Director of Engineering / Project Execution to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of capital projects across liquid pipeline, storage terminal, and related infrastructure assets.
This is a highly visible leadership position responsible for driving engineering excellence, project execution, contractor management, regulatory compliance, and organizational growth. The ideal candidate will bring a strong combination of technical expertise, project leadership, and operational understanding within the energy infrastructure sector.
Responsibilities- Lead engineering and project execution efforts for pipeline, terminal, storage, and related infrastructure projects.
- Manage projects from concept development through engineering, construction, commissioning, and startup.
- Oversee project scope, schedule, budget, risk management, and quality performance.
- Direct engineering, project management, and field execution teams.
- Manage EPC contractors, engineering consultants, and construction partners.
- Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards, safety requirements, and regulatory obligations.
- Develop project execution strategies, governance processes, and best practices.
- Partner with operations, commercial, HSE, and executive leadership teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Support strategic growth initiatives, project evaluations, and capital planning activities.
- Mentor and develop engineering and project management personnel.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical discipline.
- 12+ years of progressive experience within energy infrastructure, midstream, industrial, or related sectors.
- Demonstrated success leading large capital projects from concept through commissioning.
- Strong experience with pipeline systems, terminals, storage facilities, or similar infrastructure assets.
- Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and multiple concurrent projects.
- Strong contractor management and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Knowledge of applicable industry standards, codes, and regulatory requirements.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license and/or PMP certification preferred.
