What is it like to work as Supply Chain?

In this role you will have the following daily key responsibilities:

* Acts as the main focal point of a subset of Orion suppliers and/or supply chain activities.

* Lead Supply Chain new business pursuits, to include shaping Request For Proposals (RFPs) to subcontractors, understanding strategic initiatives to have a strong position to win, and working with the Supply Chain Management team through negotiations supporting their Basis of Estimate

* Manage the Cost, Schedule, and Technical aspects of multiple suppliers

* Collaborate and communicate long term strategies to develop and implement initiatives that drive streamlining and commonization of subcontracted hardware and processes

* Identify and coordinate alternate sources and technology insertion to significantly improve innovation and competition Appropriate degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education, with professional experience and specialized training commensurate with assignment. Purchasing/Procurement/Supply Chain

* Earned Value Management metrics via Performance Based Payments (PBPs) or Cost Plus contracting

This position does not support teleworking; the preferred candidate will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility one of the Coolest places to work:
Denver, Colorado , and be expected to work in the office.

Basic Qualifications:

To be effective, you will need to possess these basic qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience/combined education.

* 8+ years of professional experience between Supply Chain, Program Mgmt, Leadership, and/or Contracting.

* Experience directing and managing costs, quality, schedule, financial, and technical performance requirements on a project, program, or subcontractor managing overall system objectives, milestones, or deliverables.

* Experience developing and executing to tactical and/or strategic plans.

* Professional experience leading and writing proposals including supplier proposals and Basis of Estimate.

* Experience with supplier/subcontract selection, contracting, negotiation, award, execution and/or close-out.
