This position offices in-person, on campus

ROLE SUMMARY

The Annual Fund and Engagement Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and executing the logistics and programming associated with the Valor Annual Fund, working closely with the Chief Advancement Officer and Director of Advancement to plan communications, stewardship, and events. This role also leads new family orientation and engagement efforts, including coordinating one-on-one meetings with families in partnership with the Chief Advancement Officer, maintaining thoughtful and professional donor communications, and tracking outreach and engagement activity.

The coordinator plays an active role in expanding Valor Christian’s donor community by building relationships with prospective donors and encouraging their engagement and participation. A genuine passion for both fundraising and partnering with community members is essential, as is the ability to represent and advocate for Valor Christian beyond our campus, strengthening relationships with families, donors, and the wider community.

  • Collaborate with the Advancement Team to Implement Strategies that Build a Culture of Giving
    • Create and manage new family orientation and programming to include scheduling one-on-one meetings with families in conjunction with the Chief Advancement Officer, maintaining professional donor communication, and tracking outreach and engagement activities
    • Execute on the implementation of the strategy for the Valor Christian annual fund campaign, including direct mail, email, social media, and phone campaigns in collaboration with the Chief Advancement Officer and the Marketing & Communications team consistent with Valor's brand standards
    • Plan, organize, and execute all Annual Fund events: yearly Gala, Giving Season events, End of Year Appreciation events, Grandparent Gatherings, etc.
    • Identify, cultivate and solicit new prospects and donors (particularly Freshman families), and collaborate with the Advancement Team to build donor strategies
    • Foster relationships with donors to maximize engagement and support for annual fund initiatives
    • Work with the Data Analytics Coordinator to analyze constituent data and produce recommendations to enhance fundraising initiatives and inform donor strategies
