About the PositionThe director field office is responsible for contributing to the annual goals and the long-term field office fundraising plan to secure and grow Canine Companions’ financial support through individual, foundation, and corporate gifts as well as special events. This position serves as the management lead in the field office and is responsible for overseeing the daily business operations. Reporting to and working closely with the regional executive director, the director field office is responsible for planning, coordination, implementation and management of fund development, community outreach and general administration in the field office geography.
They will work closely with the regional philanthropy team to identify, develop, and solicit community, local and regional funding sources. The position supports all regional fundraising events and related projects, volunteer activities, and has responsibility for soliciting gifts up to $100,000 with primary focus on gifts of $10,000 and above.
- Field Office Leadership:
Responsible for the advancement of Canine Companions’ mission, vision, and core values in the field office geography. Oversee the field office operations to meet or exceed qualitative and quantitative goals for revenue, public support, donor and volunteer cultivation, and community outreach. - Community Representation:
Serve as the lead representative for Canine Companions in the field office geography. Actively promote and optimize a strong flow of public presentations, awareness and partnerships. - Fundraising Strategy:
Collaborate with regional executive director to develop and implement annual fundraising plan including income and expense budgets. Develop resources to meet anticipated income needs of the field office and overall regional budget. - Donor Cultivation and Solicitation:
Qualify, cultivate, solicit and steward a portfolio of 75+ qualified prospects in the $1,000+ giving range with and emphasis on donors at $10,000 + to achieve or exceed goals for assigned donor portfolio. - Fundraising Events:
Coordinate with regional Manager Philanthropy Events and liaison with regional fundraising event committees to plan, coordinate, organize and execute events in the field office area to ensure events achieve or exceed established goals. - Community and Volunteer Engagement:
Strengthen engagement between the organization and volunteers, donors, and community at large, deepening their affinity for the organization and activating them locally. - Team Leadership:
Collaborate with the field office team to build an inclusive environment where all departments interact, celebrate, and train together as one team. Effectively communicate strategic initiatives and implement change management. - Staff Development:
