Advanced Care Partner

Position Overview

Advanced Care Partner (ACP) is a specialized role for nursing (RN) students enrolled in or who have completed Med/Surg I (or program equivalent). The ACP role builds on the Patient Care Assistant (PCA)/Nurse Aide and functions as a paid nursing internship.

Location: UCHealth UCHlth Highlands Ranch Hospital, Highlands Ranch, CO

Department: HRH Med Surg Onc

Work Schedule: PRN, 0.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)

Shift: Day and Night Rotation

Pay: $19.10 - $24.83 per hour (based on relevant experience)

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification within 30 days of hire
• Enrollment in or completion of an accredited nursing program, with proof of Med/Surg 1 (or equivalent) at time of application

• Provides direct patient care under the delegation and/or supervision of a nurse or healthcare provider
• Prioritizes patient wellness and perspectives
• Models proficiency by precepting new staff members
• Partners with specialized ancillary team members
• Supports a fast‑paced, innovative clinical environment
• Contributes to solutions to secure safety and quality at the point of care
• Collects vital signs, measures blood glucose, performs sterile dressing changes, starts peripheral IVs, measures intake and output
• Assists patients with personal care, activities of daily living, and progressive mobility
• Maintains a clean, stocked, and orderly care area
