Lockheed Martin Space is looking for a Embedded Software Engineer Staff (Level
4) to join our Space Software Product Line (SSPL) organization and help lead an embedded software team responsible for deploying space and missile flight software to multiple programs and projects. The Software Engineer Staff will be responsible for working with the software development team and project stakeholders to create, refine, and execute on a roadmap of capabilities and software features.

This role will include software technical lead responsibilities and accountability for program deliveries focusing initially on SDA programs with the potential for growth to other projects in the future based on organizational demands.

Basic Qualifications:

- Eight + years of software development experience
- Demonstrated technical leadership or product ownership for software projects
- Familiarity with Agile software development and Scrum teams
- Experience presenting to technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability to obtain and maintain a US Security Clearance
Desired

Skills:

- Proficiency in C/C++ and Python

- Experience with Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS), such as UNIX/Linux or Vx Works
- Experience deploying embedded flight software to hardware test environments or higher level assembly integration and test
- Strong technical reporting, documentation, and communication skills.

- Preference given to candidates living within close proximity to a LM facility

- Experience with Atlassian Tools including JIRA

- Experience with Agile methodologies

- Experience with Git, Git Lab, and CI/CD concepts

- Experience with Secure Boot, Zero Trust Architecture, Government-Owned/ Contractor Operated (GOCO)

- Experience with RMF Cyber Controls and the following government standards: CSNA 2.0, DoDI 8510.01, CNSSI 1200, CNSSP 12, CNSSP 15, CNSSP 1253, CNSSP 1254, NIST SP 800.

Ability to Work Remotely: Full-time Remote Telework:
The employee selected for this position will work remotely full time at a location other than a Lockheed Martin designated office/job site. Employees may travel to a Lockheed Martin office for periodic meetings.
Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $131,000 - $227,125. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
