Lockheed Martin Space is looking for an Embedded Software Engineer Staff (Level
4) to join our Space Software Product Line (SSPL) organization. The Software Engineer Staff will help lead an embedded software team responsible for deploying space and missile flight software to multiple programs and projects.
- Lead and collaborate with the software development team and project stakeholders to create, refine, and execute on a roadmap of capabilities and software features.
- Assume software technical lead responsibilities and accountability for program deliveries, focusing initially on SDA programs with potential growth to other projects.
- Work with the team to deploy embedded flight software to hardware test environments or higher level assembly integration and test.
- Proficiency in C/C++ and Python
- Experience with Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS), such as UNIX/Linux or Vx Works
- Experience deploying embedded flight software to hardware test environments or higher level assembly integration and test
- Strong technical reporting, documentation, and communication skills
- Preference given to candidates living within close proximity to a LM facility
- Experience with Atlassian Tools including JIRA
- Experience with Agile methodologies
- Experience with Git, Git Lab, and CI/CD concepts
- Experience with Secure Boot, Zero Trust Architecture, Government-Owned/ Contractor Operated (GOCO)
- Experience with RMF Cyber Controls and the following government standards: CSNA 2.0, DoDI 8510.01, CNSSI 1200, CNSSP 12, CNSSP 15, CNSSP 1253, CNSSP 1254, NIST SP 800
- TS/SCI Clearance or DoD Secret Clearance
