Customer Service Representative

Position Overview

Destination Pet is hiring a Customer Service Representative to work at Pet Palace Hillard. The role focuses on delivering exceptional customer service to pet parents and their pets while managing front‑desk operations.

• Welcome pet parents and their pets in a friendly, 5‑star atmosphere.
• Answer inbound phone calls, manage multi‑line phone systems, and respond to emails.
• Tour new clients through the facility and promote services such as day care, boarding, grooming, training, and veterinary care.
• Verify that service vaccinations are current and update records.
• Handle check‑ins and check‑outs efficiently while providing a personal touch.
• Process cash and card transactions, balance the end‑of‑day cash drawer.
• Respond to complaints calmly and professionally, even when situations are challenging.
• Escort pet guests to and from enclosures, ensuring safety and comfort.
• Maintain a clean, welcoming lobby and first‑impression area.
• Assist team members as needed and perform other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ year of customer service or retail experience preferred.
• Excellent communication skills: phone, in‑person, and email.
• Comfortable with multi‑line phone systems and basic computer software.
• Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
• Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

Must be available for shifts on evenings, weekends, holidays, specifically Wednesdays and Saturdays. Some holidays and additional evening shifts may be required.

Hourly pay ranges from $13.00 to $15.00 per hour, dependent on experience, plus tips. Additional benefits include telehealth, 401(k), and pet insurance.
