We are seeking a Nondestructive Testing Engineer to serve as a technical resource within Amazon data centers. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and deploy innovative solutions to address operational challenges across electrical, mechanical, fire detection, and building automation systems. You will work independently and within multidisciplinary teams to identify improvement opportunities and act on data from other teams and organizations.

As the Nondestructive Testing Engineer, you will oversee medium-sized projects from conception to completion, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. Your work will protect data center safety, security and availability while maintaining a focus on operational excellence.

• Safety Ambassador responsible for driving a culture of safety and promoting a safe working environment for all.
• Remain cognizant of and act in compliance with all security protocols while motivating others to do the same.
• Utilize internal CMMS to schedule and oversee the day‑to‑day execution of Nondestructive Testing preventative maintenance across all regional data centers.
• Act as an escalation point for all safety, security and facilities‑related issues as they relate to your assigned work, escalating to your manager as required.
• Deploy and support all existing and new standard practices for Nondestructive Testing.
• Communicate complex technical information to a non‑technical audience.
• Interact with engineers, technicians, project managers and management daily.
• Work with engineers to develop detailed and creative solutions to complex problems, while keeping a watchful eye on timelines and costs.
• Oversee projects and provide solutions for root causes of facility issues.

You'll join a diverse team of software, hardware, network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You will collaborate across AWS to deliver the highest standards for safety and security, providing scalable capacity at the lowest possible cost while experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas.

• 2+ years of relevant work experience
• Experience in relevant work
• Can bend or twist the body into unusual positions while working
• Can use hands to manipulate small wires and objects
• Can walk on job sites in uneven terrain
• Can work at heights and from ladders

• 4+ years of data center engineering experience
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
• Knowledge of network design and layout as well as low voltage (copper/fiber) cabling
• Experience in data center engineering
• Can perform physical tasks all day without becoming overly tired

The base salary range for this position is 37.00 – 65.00 USD hourly. Your package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications and location.
