HVAC BIM Coordinator
Gutridge is a leading construction and service company offering Plumbing, Mechanical, Fire Protection, and Electrical services to customers in the greater central Ohio marketplace. As the HVAC BIM Coordinator, you will be responsible for the coordination and creation of Level 400 HVAC models, as well as producing detailed shop and spool drawings for fabrication and installation. This position requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and strong coordination skills to support successful project execution.
WhatAre We Looking For?
- Develop and manage detailed HVAC models, shop drawings, isometrics, schedules, and spool drawings for fabrication and installation.
- Interpret construction documents and engineering plans to identify conflicts and implement practical solutions.
- Lead internal coordination meetings and communicate project updates, issues, and resolutions to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Project Managers and Superintendents to develop RFIs and resolve coordination challenges.
- Oversee and coordinate third-party production teams as required.
- Generate accurate Trimble layout points and utilize Trimble RTS systems with Field Link.
- Proficiency in Revit and Navisworks Manage (required).
- Willingness to learn and implement new VDC platforms and add-ins.
- Strong knowledge of sheet metal systems, materials, and installation methods.
- Thorough understanding of applicable city, state, and national codes, including SMACNA, NFPA, and relevant mechanical codes.
- Ability to work independently while demonstrating leadership and professionalism in all interactions.

Requirements
What Do We Want To See?- High School Diploma or equivalent required; formal training in BIM, VDC, or CAD strongly preferred.
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in MEP VDC and fabrication; relevant HVAC field experience will be considered.
- Previous sheet metal or mechanical piping field experience is a plus.
- Experience managing projects involving third-party production teams preferred.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred.
- Solid understanding of HVAC systems, standards, and industry best practices.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proactive problem-solving mindset with the ability to support overall project success.
