Automation Engineer

Job Description

The Automation Engineer will support the development, integration, and implementation of ADS automation and control systems. This position will focus on designing, deploying, and optimizing automation solutions that improve throughput, safety, and quality while simplifying operations for plant teams.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial preferred)
• Associate's degree may be considered with exceptional experience
• 6+ years of engineering experience in manufacturing environments
• Capital project management experience
• Robotic automation experience (Fanuc strongly preferred)
• Strong machine automation background
• Understanding of manufacturing operations and plant environments
• Basic PLC/HMI knowledge (Allen-Bradley preferred)
• Hands-on experience with pneumatic systems
• Working knowledge of machine safety and ergonomics
• Basic mechanical design capabilities
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience managing suppliers, vendors, and capital projects
• Ability to influence and communicate across all levels of an organization
