Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking Data Center Technicians to support our customers in multiple locations.
Key Responsibilities- Perform server rack installations, hardware break‑fix on various components, troubleshoot network issues, and respond to operational incidents that impact service availability, escalating to senior technicians and management as needed.
- Serve as a primary contact point for internal and external stakeholders, including engineers, software developers, vendors, and contractors.
- Perform on‑call duties and participate in scheduled maintenance and change management activities.
- Contribute to documentation and process improvement initiatives based on analysis of operational issues.
- Help train and onboard new team members.
Primary responder responsibilities may require evening, weekend, holiday, and/or night work to ensure our global data centers remain reliable. The role may involve participation in a primary responder rotation, including monitoring the data center infrastructure, coordinating responses to operational incidents, and partnering with other teams to rapidly resolve issues that impact service availability. Must be willing to work independently and as part of a team.
Work prioritization, organizational skills, effective communication, and the ability to react quickly are critical to success. The position may involve 24/7 work and on‑call duties.
Travel within and outside of the regional work area is required. You will be responsible for having a reliable personal vehicle and a valid driver's license to travel within the regional work area, as company transportation will not be provided.
Physical Requirements- Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds; and participate in group lifts for 41+ pounds.
- Work in an environment that operates 24/7 with the ability to participate in primary responder rotation and provide after‑hours support as needed.
- Work in cramped, elevated, and/or noisy environments.
- Bend, lift, stretch, reach, stand, and walk for up to 8+ hours a day.
- Ascend and descend ladders, stairs, and gangways safely and without limitation.

- 1+ years of computer/server hardware troubleshooting or related IT experience.
- Work a flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays.
- High School or equivalent diploma.
- Knowledge of network design, protocols and Layer 1/2 troubleshooting.
- Associate’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Networking Engineering), or experience in a relevant field.
- Experience in a data center or other critical environment.
- Experience managing work and priorities through a ticketing system.
