Systems Engineer, Network Engineer, Cloud Computing: Infrastructure & Operations
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for a Network Infrastructure Engineer to build Amazon Dedicated Cloud regions as part of our Infrastructure Operations team. As dedicated cloud regions continue to expand and grow, Infrastructure Operations seeks individuals to scale network systems, ensuring we stay ahead of customer demand. In this dynamic environment, you will drive the stability and sustainability of next‑generation networks, assist with capacity management, and work closely with internal customers and external vendors to facilitate smooth project execution directed by Technical Program Managers.
Keyjob responsibilities
- Clearly communicate project status and blockers to leadership and project management.
- Perform device build and cabling validation activities.
- Manage cabling vendor activities and perform quality assurance activities.
- Support Network Engineering deployment activities during scheduled change management windows and participate in migrations (including off‑business hours) and basic configuration and rollout of new or upgraded hardware.
- Complete customer requests via the Remedy trouble ticketing system.
- Troubleshoot networking, routing, and inter‑connectivity issues, including network device configuration and low‑level application interaction; deliver simple, sustainable, and repeatable solutions and processes.
- Manage work and priorities through the ticketing system and workflow, collaborating with stakeholders to remove project obstacles.
- Travel within the geographical work area; up to 40 % travel outside traditional work area may be required, possibly including international travel.
A Network Design Engineer’s day includes attending meetings, creating and executing change‑management activities in the data centre, deploying hardware, connecting cabling, troubleshooting links, updating tickets, working with peers across AWS to innovate and develop, and finding new ways to improve the customer experience.

Basic Qualifications- 3 + years of vendor management experience.
- 4 + years of relevant work in a data centre or similar critical environment.
- Experience in vendor management.
- Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret with SCI eligibility or above.
- Experience in construction or project management.
Salary Range (USD):
USA, OH, Hilliard – 96,000.00 – USD annually.
USA, OH, New Albany – 96,000.00 – USD annually.
