Operations Manager, Business Management, Program / Project Manager
Baesman Group is looking for a results-driven, people-oriented Finishing Operations Manager to lead our Bindery and Mailing (Lettershop) departments. This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced production environment, knows how to build strong teams, and uses data to drive results.
This role is not about maintaining the status quo — it’s about raising the bar, strengthening accountability, and helping take Baesman to the next level of operational excellence.
What You’ll DoLead & Develop People- Manage, coach, and mentor a team of bindery and mailing operators and leads.
- Build a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement.
- Conduct effective one-on-ones, performance feedback, and crucial conversations.
- Train and develop team members to strengthen bench strength and succession.
- Review production, quality, safety, and efficiency reports regularly.
- Translate data into clear actions that improve throughput, accuracy, and service levels.
- Track KPIs and hold the team accountable for meeting department and company goals.
- Oversee daily operations in bindery and mailing to ensure jobs are completed on time, within quality standards, and at optimal cost.
- Partner with Production, Quality, and Client Services teams to ensure seamless workflow and client satisfaction.
- Identify process improvements and lead change initiatives that increase efficiency and reduce waste.
- Address performance issues head-on with professionalism and respect.
- Set clear expectations and follow through consistently.
- Create a workplace where feedback is timely, honest, and focused on growth.
- 5+ years of leadership experience in a print/manufacturing environment preferred. Experience in bindery, mailing/letter shop, or finishing operations is a plus.
- Proven success training, mentoring, and developing teams.
- Strong experience using production data, KPIs, and reports to drive decisions and results.
- Confident, fair, and not afraid to hold people accountable.
- Comfortable having difficult or crucial conversations when needed.
- Energized by fast-paced environments and changing priorities.
- Respected for consistency, integrity, and follow-through.
- Strong communication and coaching skills.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and action-driven.
- Continuous improvement mindset — always looking for better ways to work.
- Working knowledge of bindery and mailing equipment and workflows a plus.
