Under the direction of the Value Stream Manager and Team Leader, this role is responsible for the safe operation of highly automated manufacturing equipment, ensuring safety, quality, reliability, and cost performance. The plant runs continuously 24/7, 5 days a week. New associates undergo a 3‑month probationary period.
Shifts & Compensation- 1st Shift: Monday‑Friday, 7 am‑3 pm; overtime 5 am‑3 pm or 7 am‑5 pm – $23.69 per hour.
- 3rd Shift: Monday night 9 pm‑7 am Friday – $24.69 per hour.

The ceiling tile manufacturing process involves operating machines that cut, size, paint, package tiles, and ship finished products. All employees maintain cleanliness, safety, and teamwork.

- Safely start up, operate, and shut down production equipment; perform lockout/tag‑out for line jams or repairs; adhere to safety policies.
- Conduct basic operator maintenance checks to keep the line running.
- Perform product inspections to meet quality standards, minimize rework, and contain non‑conforming material.
- Read and follow daily production schedules.
- Enter data into computer systems.
- Maintain housekeeping standards; keep areas clean and orderly.
- Handle materials (raw, in‑process, finished goods) safely.
- Assist with related duties as assigned by production lead or management.
Physical Requirements
- Frequent standing, walking, lifting, bending, reaching, grabbing, pulling, carrying, stair/catwalk travel.
- Dusty environment, not climate controlled.
- Exposure to fiberglass and other dusty materials.
- Must lift 60 pounds.
- Must rotate through all core positions.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- 2+ years of industrial or warehouse experience preferred.
- Experience with lean/process improvement preferred.
- Demonstrate proficiency in core production roles within 30 days of hire.
- Earn and maintain forklift license; demonstrate competency.
- Work overtime as needed.
- Work independently with strong balance between tasks and team collaboration.
