Overview

Harmony Trace Assisted Living in Hilliard, Ohio is seeking Nurse Aide-CNA/STNA (PRN). Harmony Trace is owned and operated by National Church Residences, the nation’s largest provider of affordable senior housing and health care services. The position provides direct care to residents and assists with activities of daily living while encouraging residents to maintain or reach the highest level of function per facility policies.

Reports needs to supervisor on duty.

Qualified Candidates For This Position Offer

• Perform/assist with resident direct care needs and daily living activities: lifting, turning, positioning, transporting; bathing, dressing, oral hygiene, grooming; respond to call lights in a timely, professional manner; provide restorative care (range of motion, ambulation, bowel and bladder training).
• Maintain resident room cleanliness; participate in activities of interest; provide restorative nursing programs to maintain ADLs.
• Communicate professionally and effectively, verbally and in writing; follow directions; provide exemplary customer service to residents, peers, families, managers, and visitors; report changes in physical or mental conditions promptly.
• Assist nurses with tasks: measure and record vitals; gather weights and other documentation; make beds; clean and organize living areas; assist with new admissions; assist in training and orientation of new staff as assigned.
• Adhere to Resident Rights; know and protect resident rights; report resident complaints to charge nurse or supervisor; maintain confidentiality.
• Document resident information timely, accurately and confidentially in the electronic medical record system.
• Adhere to Safety & Compliance policies and procedures; use equipment properly; report equipment needs or repairs.
• Practice universal precautions; use protective equipment; follow infection control protocols.
• Perform food service functions: prepare residents for meals, serve food, assist with eating, after-meal care, snacks and water; record food/fluid intake and report changes in eating habits.

• Education:
  
  High school diploma or GED preferred or currently enrolled in a program to achieve preferred education.
• Experience:
  
  Two to four years preferred.
• Must have good communication, comprehension, and interpersonal skills. Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English.
• Skills:
  
  Working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, and the internet.
• Licensure: N/A
