Laboratory Technician

Laboratory Technician $18-$22/HR

The Laboratory Technician plays a critical role in delivering safe, efficient, and reliable Production & Stimulation Delivery (PSD) services to customers. This position supports high-quality service delivery by performing laboratory testing, preparing technical documentation, and providing advanced technical input during additive selection and fluid design. The technician collaborates closely with Client Support Labs, operating locations, product centers, and the InTouch repository to ensure seamless communication and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Service Deliverables — Ensure all job deliverables are accurate, complete, and delivered on schedule.
  • Additive Selection — Build competency to perform advanced additive selection and fluid design for customer jobs.
  • Laboratory Maintenance — Keep laboratory equipment clean, calibrated, and operational; ensure proper waste disposal.
  • Technical Reporting — Conduct quality assurance tests and prepare laboratory reports prior to wellsite service delivery.
  • Technical Presentations — Develop and deliver technical presentations for internal teams and external customers.
  • Laboratory Audits — Perform routine audits to ensure compliance with required laboratory standards.
  • Engineering Support — Assist Design/Technical Engineers and Product Champions with technical support as needed.
  • Risk Analysis — Conduct risk assessments before each task to identify and mitigate safety or quality concerns.
  • Service Quality — Participate in Service Quality Meetings and contribute to performance improvement action plans.
  • HSE Compliance — Follow all HSE policies, wear required PPE, and maintain current safety training.
  • Continuous Improvement — Identify opportunities to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1–2 years of relevant laboratory or technical work experience.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a team player.
