Overview
AWS Data Center Security Specialist (DSS) will join the Infrastructure Operations team to manage and improve site security operations in data centers. The role involves implementing security policies, procedures, and controls to protect data center facilities and personnel, while driving day-to-day process improvements and coordinating with vendors.
Responsibilities- Manage physical security operations at data center sites
- Develop post orders and security procedures
- Handle site incidents and coordinate response
- Work with security equipment and monitoring systems
- Participate in construction projects and security-related design and implementation
- Drive day-to-day process improvements and vendor management
- Ensure consistent deployment of security policies and procedures
- Participate in site audits, reviews, and testing of new security technologies
- Demonstrate resilient leadership, adaptability in dynamic environments, and strong written and verbal communication
- Bachelor’s degree in Criminology/Criminal Justice or a relevant field
- Experience using CCTV, access control, and intrusion systems
- Experience with Microsoft Office tools
- Experience with various Access/Intrusion control systems in a control room environment
- 1+ years of security operations oversight experience
