Gate Automation & Low Voltage Technician
The Gate Automation & Low Voltage Technician plays a key role in both installation and service of gate systems and commercial security technologies. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of mechanical work, low-voltage systems, and customer interaction, with the opportunity to grow into a long-term career.
What You'll Do
-Install, service, and troubleshoot:
- Gate systems (slide, swing, lift, crash gates)
- Parking revenue control systems
- Bollards and barrier systems
-Support installation and service of low-voltage and security systems, including:
- Access control systems
- CCTV/video surveillance
- Security/intrusion systems
- Fire alarm systems
- Voice/data cabling and structured wiring
- Wired and wireless networks
- Paging and telephone entry systems
-Program, test, and troubleshoot commercial security and access systems
-Provide on-site customer service, including system training and support
-Collaborate with team members and assist in training new technicians
-Travel to job sites throughout Ohio as needed
Requirements
What We're Looking For
- Experience with low-voltage systems (access control, cameras, intrusion, or cabling)
- Ability to install, program, and troubleshoot commercial security systems
- Strong problem-solving skills and logical thinking
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Comfortable using smartphones, tablets, and laptops in the field
- Proficiency with hand and power tools
- Eagerness to learn and grow within a technical field
Nice to Have
- Experience with gate automation systems
- HVAC, electrical, or construction background
