Logistics Specialist, LCK Logistics

Amazon is seeking a logistics professional for our Amazon Web Services Team in the Columbus, OH area.

Logistics Specialists monitor inventory levels to ensure proper stock levels are maintained to support build and repair activities in our warehouse and data centers. They process inbound and outbound shipments, verify inventory, conduct cycle counts, manage an Inventory Management System, and own chain‑of‑custody processes for Data Center Technicians and Engineers. They also transport parts between different locations using sprinter vans, trucks, or powered equipment such as forklifts or electric pallet jacks.

Specialists must be comfortable and willing to regularly drive a variety of motorized vehicles, including box trucks up to 26 feet in length. Candidates must be at least 21 years old, hold a valid state‑appropriate driver’s license, obtain a Driver Qualification File (DQF) and/or a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), and maintain a DOT Medical Card.

The role involves frequent lifting, pushing, and pulling of materials and products. Logistics Specialists must keep precise records of all commodities moving in and out of the company and maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety of all work spaces.

The successful candidate must be a U.S. citizen and currently possess an active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.

• Receive parts, maintain inventory, and check‑out parts to Data Center Technicians and Engineers.
• Load and unload shipments and transport parts, racks, and equipment between locations, including localized driving of transport vehicles.
• Attend company‑provided forklift operator training.
• Complete company‑provided training in driving box trucks up to 26 feet in length.
• Handle sensitive and classified materials.
• Work with or around moving mechanical parts.
• Occasionally work in an office environment.
• Work overtime as required.

• Lift loads of up to 40 pounds and carry them for short distances.
• Participate in group lifts of 41 pounds or more.
• Frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
• Regularly walk, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Coordinate body movements when using tools or equipment.
• Reach and stretch to position equipment and fixtures while maintaining balance.
• Push or pull heavy objects into position.
• Work in a noisy environment.
• Stand, sit, and walk for prolonged periods of time.

• Experience as a logistics professional supporting inventory cycle counts, shipments, maintenance, stock control functions, and reverse logistics.
• Current, active U.S. Government Security Clearance of Top Secret with SCI eligibility or above.

• 1+ year experience driving box trucks up to 26 feet and operating a forklift or similar powered lifting equipment.
• Experience using a computerized Inventory Management System (IMS).
• Strong understanding of shipping & receiving, inventory, and warehousing practices.
