2nd Shift Order Filler Lead

Kimball Midwest, a national distributor of maintenance, repair and operation products, is searching for a 2nd Shift Order Filler Lead in our Distribution Center for our Hilliard, Ohio location.

Responsibilities include:

• Assists in the supervision of all order filling personnel in accordance with the guidelines set by the DC Manager
• Maintains a scheduled flow during the order filling cycle, which includes managing break time
• Assists in maintaining order filling files
• Responsible for the training and follow up of all new associates in the Order Filling department
• Selects orders
• Scans orders into scanner
• Scans all items and presses F2 for all items that will not scan
• Checks orders for picking instructions and acknowledges instructions
• Picks appropriate parts from shelves and places them on carts
• Indicates incomplete orders as they occur and places them in the in completes area at the end of the pick cycle
• Ensures minimum of product to be checked or shipped out
• Moves manual or motorized cart to shipping areas
• Unloads carts
• Maintains an organized workspace and ensures cleanliness of order filling spaces

Qualifications:

• 1-3 years of general warehouse experience, preferably in an order filling or shipping capacity
• The ability to read and write small letters and numbers; the ability to make arithmetic calculations; and the ability to understand written and oral instructions
• The ability to concentrate and to communicate with management and co-workers
• The ability to follow oral and written instructions
• The ability to lift objects weighing fifty (50) pounds
• Standing all day

Additional Information:

The hours are 2:30pm-11pm Monday-Friday.

The pay for this position is $21/hr.
