Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a combined ED/Med-Surg position at a community hospital, requiring dual-unit competency and night shift availability.
Responsibilities- Combined ED and Med-Surg unit in a community hospital setting
- Nurses are expected to manage both ER and floor patient assignments within the same shift
- Night shift position: 6:45 PM – 7:00 AM (3x12-hour shifts)
- Contract length is flexible, ranging from 8 to 13 weeks
- Blocked scheduling (grouped shifts) will be accommodated when possible
- Nurses must be clinically prepared to transition between ER and floor patient care responsibilities
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Active RN license in Kansas (KS) or a Compact RN license currently in hand
- Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
- PALS preferred but not required
- Experience in both Emergency Department and Med-Surg settings is required
- Minimum one year of RN experience required
- Valid Driver's License and Social Security Card required for consideration
- Two professional references required for consideration
