Weastec, Inc. was founded in 1988 as a subsidiary of Toyodenso Co. Ltd., a global leader electrical switches, electronics and sensors. Weastec supplies these products to the North American Automotive, Powersports and Power Equipment markets.
The Hillsboro headquarters, a production facility in scenic southwestern Ohio, is conveniently located to deliver product directly to major OEMs such as Honda, Toyota and Volkswagen. Weastec prides itself on superior quality and world-class supply chain management, both of which are managed from the Hillsboro facility.
In 2005, the Weastec Technical Center was established in the Columbus, Ohio suburb of Dublin. The technical center is responsible for design, development and testing of new products and is the customer liaison throughout the new product creation cycle.
In 2022, Weastec reopened the Greenfield operations facility and began the introduction of automated assembly lines. This location also serves as additional warehouse space for the Hillsboro headquarters.
Job SummaryProcure parts domestically and internationally based upon data received from customers.
Key Responsibilities• Thoroughly review the Purchase Orders prior to sending to the overseas TEC plants.
• Run daily reports that keeps track of shortages to determine which containers contain shorted parts need
to come in immediately.
• Track containers once they arrive at the coast and determine when they will arrive in Columbus. Once
the containers reach their destination in Columbus, reach out to the forwarder that moved the containers
and schedule them for delivery to either the Hillsboro or Greenfield facility.
• File ISF's from the TEC plants in the correct file destination.
• Communication with TEC plant counterpart and internal departments via email and phone.
• Build a file that shows which parts and how many are stored in each container, then submit that into our company system.
• Utilize the container number, the air waybill, or bill of lading number (for air shipments) to track and
locate shipments.
• Review ordered quantities and forecasted quantities to determine the appropriate safety stock level that
ensures there will not be a shortage of parts in the future.
• Analyze orders and forecast to ensure there are no short shipments while also ensuring the company is
utilizing inventory properly to avoid having excess parts on hand.
- Associate Degree
- 1 to 2 years of relevant experience
- Microsoft Office - Excel, PowerPoint, Word, & Outlook, Department specific Database Software,
