Job SummaryIf caring is your superpower, we have a team that needs you- join Hillsboro Health and Rehab as a STNA. We are seeking FULL-TIME compassionate and dedicated State Tested Nursing Assistants to join our healthcare team for DAY SHIFT (6a to 6p). The STNAs play a vital role on our care team by providing empathetic, patient-centered, hands-on support that helps residents maintain dignity, comfort, and quality of life.
STNAs work closely with nurses and other team members to assist residents with daily activities, monitor their well-being, and create a safe, welcoming environment where residents feel valued and cared for. Join us in making a difference in the lives of our patients by providing exceptional care and support as a State Tested Nursing Assistant.
- Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding
- Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure
- Provide support to nursing staff by preparing equipment and assisting with medical procedures
- Maintain a clean and safe patient environment by adhering to infection control protocols
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members regarding patient needs and progress
- Document patient care accurately in electronic health records
- Support patients with disabilities by providing tailored assistance to enhance their quality of life
- Participate in hospice care for terminally ill patients, ensuring comfort and dignity during their final days
- Previous experience as a Nursing Assistant or in a similar role is preferred
- Knowledge of geriatrics, medical-surgical care, physiology, and hospice care is highly desirable
- Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team
- Compassionate nature with a commitment to providing high-quality patient care
- Certification as a Nursing Assistant or completion of an accredited nursing assistant program
- Ability to handle the physical demands of the job, including lifting and moving patients
