• Respond to the demands of changing patient acuity in a positive and efficient manner.
• Deliver direct patient care under the direction of a registered nurse and/or physician.
• Demonstrate responsibility and accountability for continuous improvement, reflected in QI results and patient satisfaction surveys.
• Maintain positive customer relations with patients, families, and co‑workers.
• Maintain positive team relations and enhance communication among staff.
• Maintain supplies and report malfunctioning equipment.

• Work flexible hours and perform duties in all areas of the Outpatient Department.
• Complete annual skills validation and maintain competencies and education per Department/Hospital policy, staying informed on new trends and techniques in patient care.
• Maintain a safe and neat work area.
• Build a good working relationship with all physicians and their respective offices.
• Assume total responsibility for the assigned clinic, including pre‑ and post‑clinic duties.
• Attend 50% of staff meetings to stay informed about departmental activities.

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Medical Assisting Certification preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Strong computer skills.
• Analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Understanding of HIPAA guidelines.
• Proficiency in sterile technique and specimen collection.
• Current CPR certification.
• Ability to maintain patient files and charts.
• Ability to schedule appointments, tests, and surgeries.
• Ability to interface well with physicians.
• Team player.
