We are seeking a meticulous Senior Accountant to analyze production costs, monitor inventory levels, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to optimize manufacturing processes. The role involves performing advanced and specialized accounting activities to ensure compliance with relevant regulations, laws, and reporting requirements.
Responsibilities- Participate in month-end close by ensuring all financial transactions for the month are accurately recorded and reconciled promptly. This includes preparing journal entries, reconciling general ledger accounts, and assisting in financial reporting.
- Conduct detailed analysis of production costs, including direct materials, labor, and overheads, to ensure accuracy and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Supervise inventory levels, track usage, and reconcile discrepancies to ensure accurate valuation and minimize waste or shortages.
- Prepare and present comprehensive reports on manufacturing costs, providing insights and recommendations to support informed decision-making by Senior management.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and regulatory requirements in all cost accounting activities, including responding to audit requests with accurate and complete support.
- Monitor and analyze cost variances, investigate discrepancies, and implement corrective measures to align with budgeted targets.
Work Environment
The work environment involves collaboration with cross-functional teams and requires the ability to work with ERP systems like QAD or Oracle Hyperion. The role demands proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and presentation. This position requires strong project management skills and the ability to function effectively in a complex and ambiguous environment.

This is a Contract position based out of Hillsboro, OR.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $42.00 - $47.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
