Pay: $25.50-$27.75 hourly

The Safety & Training Administrator is responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of workers' compensation and automotive/general liability claims within the organization while providing critical cross-departmental support to the PARR Training Team. This hybrid role capitalizes on seasonal fluctuations in claims and safety incidents to proactively assist with new hire onboarding, training metrics tracking, and curriculum format support. Acting as a brand ambassador, this individual ensures that all claims are handled promptly and in regulatory compliance, while helping introduce new employees seamlessly into PARR culture.

Additionally, this position serves as the primary administrative backup for core safety systems and operational continuity when Safety Technicians are out of office, reinforcing PARR's Mission of Legendary Service Through Teamwork.

Duties And Responsibilities Claims Management & Safety Operations (Primary Focus)
  • Monitor and audit SAIF (OR) and L&I (WA) workers' compensation claims to ensure prompt resolution and adherence to regulations.
  • Track Auto Liability/General Liability (ALGL) files; coordinate with insurance carriers when accidents are valued over the deductible, and work directly with customers/vendors to close out under-deductible issues.
  • Update, track, and monitor Modified and Bonified Job Offers (MJO/BJO) for injured associates to support an efficient return-to-work program.
  • Input driver point assignments accurately into the HRIS and monitor the corporate safety incident reporting system.
  • Analyze claims data to identify recurring workplace hazards and collaborate with Safety Technicians to recommend proactive improvements.
  • Ensure location managers submit 801 forms timely and maintain rigorous tracking to generate and report on annual OSHA 300a logs.
  • Manage day-to-day safety administrative logistics, including coordinating with safety chairs and yard leadership, maintaining SDS compliance databases, administering the corporate boot program, and ordering safety supplies.
Training & Onboarding Support (Bandwidth & Low-Season Focus)
  • Assist the Culture and HR teams in organizing, scheduling, and facilitating New Associate Orientation (NAO) for onboarding cohorts.
  • Guide new hires through Parr University, tracking progress along their mandatory 30, 90, and 180-day immersion and curriculum tracks.
  • Collaborate closely with the Training Manager and Curriculum Developer to co-develop, review, and format interactive training materials, lesson plans, and learning activities.
  • Oversee localized training metrics, compile data, and distribute regular progress reports to onsite trainers and leadership.
  • Document best practices and cross-departmental workflow steps to enhance operational efficiency, cross-training protocols, and onboarding success.
Operational Continuity & Communications
  • Serve as the secondary point of contact and administrative backup for claims management and urgent safety inquiries when the Safety Lead is out of the office.
  • Manage high-volume professional correspondence, answering emails and phone calls promptly from managers, employees, external customers, and insurance representatives.
Qualifications
  • Experience:

    1–2 years of experience within Workers' Compensation claims administration, risk management support, or structured corporate training environments preferred.
  • Education:

    High School Diploma or GED equivalent required;
    Associate's degree preferred.
  • Technical Proficiency:
    Strong professional proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Comfort utilizing HRIS platforms and building materials ERP software (such as Epicor's Bistrack) preferred.
  • Typing:
    Must be able to type 45+ WPM with high accuracy.
  • Language:
    Ability to speak, write, and read English fluently required.
