Job DescriptionAre you a caring and respectful individual, committed to helping Washington residents navigate challenging times? We're seeking an Administrative Office Specialist to handle initial client interactions with professionalism and care. This role involves interacting directly with clients, supporting front‑office operations, and assisting with day‑to‑day administrative tasks. Typical pay range is $18.02 – $19.82, depending on qualifications.
Responsibilities- Provide daily administrative support to assigned division/program/office function directors, managers, supervisors, and staff.
- Work at the reception desk, including assisting clients with making copies, tracking, and distributing faxes.
- Provide prompt, accurate and effective administrative support; compose and send written and electronic correspondence, route telephone calls and visitors, and perform word‑processing functions.
- Respond to and initiate inquiries about program service delivery, facilities, information, and referrals; explain policies, answer questions, and independently resolve problems whenever feasible.
- Process and ensure office supply orders, inventory, and distribution of supplies are completed and maintained for the division/program; maintain office equipment as assigned.
- Minimum of a high‑school diploma/equivalent with some college coursework or skill certifications in a related field plus at least one year of administrative support experience providing complex support to projects and/or upper‑management personnel. Equivalent education/experience may be considered.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish, written and verbal.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with and/or knowledge of social‑service systems or non‑profit organizations.
