Location:
Hillsboro, OR, 97124 - 100% onsite
Duration: 12 months contract
Shift: 03:00 PM - 11:30 PM - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday - 2nd shift and occasionally on the weekends.
Must be proficient in operating an Electron Microscope and capable of troubleshooting issues independently.
Job Description:
The successful candidate will support R&D projects by on-time execution of SEM imaging and sample prep requests. The candidate will be expected to work independently. Communication and collaboration skills are needed to ensure maximum throughput is achieved in a fast-paced environment. Hands-on SEM experience is a must have, familiarity with FIB is preferred along with having some basic microscope troubleshooting skills.

Experience:
2-5 years' experience in electron microscopy preferably in a QC/ R&D environment or someone who has less experience but is trainable. Good problem-solving / troubleshooting skills Ability to work independently with little to no supervision Ability to hand-on operate Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) is required (2 years of experience) Ability to operate Focused ion-beam (FIB) is preferred. Preferred BS Degree in STEM with basic knowledge in semiconductor.
Familiarity with characterization techniques in general Expected to work independently with minimum supervision as well as part of a team. Must be able to work on the 2nd shift most days with some weekend commitment needed occasionally.
Education:
Bachelor's degree preferred but will consider those with HS Diploma who have the required work experience.
