Qualifications:
- CLIENT Electronics Materials, located in Hillsboro OR, is looking for a full-time technician to perform electron microscopy characterization during the 2nd shift and occasionally on the weekends.
NOTE:
Pay rate range will be from $28 - $32 USD/hr depending on experience
Education:
- Bachelor's degree preferred but will consider those with HS Diploma who have the required work experience.
Qualifications:
- Experience:
2-5 years' experience in electron microscopy preferably in a QC/ R&D environment or someone who has less experience but is trainable. - Good problem-solving / troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently with little to no supervision
- Ability to hand-on operate Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) is required (2+ years of experience)
- Ability to operate Focused ion-beam (FIB) is preferred.
- Preferred BS Degree in STEM with basic knowledge in semiconductor
- Familiarity with characterization techniques in general
- Expected to work independently with minimum supervision as well as part of a team.
- Must be able to work on the 2nd shift most days with some weekend commitment needed occasionally.
Interviews:
- First round will be phone and then second round will be onsite.
Responsibilities:
- The successful candidate will support R&D projects by on-time execution of SEM imaging and sample prep requests.
- The candidate will be expected to work independently.
- Communication and collaboration skills are needed to ensure maximum throughput is achieved in a fast-paced environment.
- Hands-on SEM experience is a must have, familiarity with FIB is preferred along with having some basic microscope troubleshooting skills.
