Operations Manager
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Traveling Superintendent to join our Advanced Industries team at JE Dunn. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on advanced construction projects across the country, contributing to the success of our innovative clients.
Role OverviewIn this role, you will be responsible for leading all aspects of assigned construction projects, ensuring timely and profitable completion while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities- Foster a safety-first culture by leading safety initiatives and mentoring team members.
- Manage subcontractors and oversee overall workflow on the job site.
- Supervise company staff, subcontractors, and suppliers while adhering to project goals.
- Develop work plans and coordinate job site management effectively.
- Lead daily and weekly meetings to keep all parties informed and aligned.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, updating drawings and logs as necessary.
- Track project budgets and costs, ensuring alignment with financial goals.
- Communicate project information to stakeholders including owners, design teams, and subcontractors.
- Ensure quality compliance and participate in project closeout activities.
- Identify and recruit top talent to contribute to our team.
- Promote a culture of diversity and inclusion within the organization.
- High School Diploma or GED required;
Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field preferred. - 3+ years of construction experience with at least 1 year in field supervision.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to conduct effective presentations.
- Proficient in MS Office and project management software.
- Strong understanding of construction management fundamentals and project processes.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
- Willingness to travel or relocate as needed, primarily starting in West Essex, VT.
- Ability to work in varying environmental conditions and non-traditional hours.
The estimated base salary for this position is between $90,000 and $120,000, depending on experience. In addition to base compensation, you will be eligible for a target bonus based on performance.
