JOB SUMMARYThe Estimator position is responsible for providing technical estimation of electrical projects from bid preparation through job close out documentation to the customer.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS- A working knowledge of electrical construction and theory at a level normally acquired through completion of an electrical training program, two-year technical or business degree or related field; and
- 5 years' experience as an electrical estimator.
- Excellent human relations skills and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Demonstrated conceptual estimates and financial analytical skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Quantity takeoff
- Quantity takeoff entry into estimating software
- Solicitation and review vendor and subcontractor quotations
- Review current material pricing levels
- Review and estimate addenda as required
- Visit site and/or attend site walk meeting
- Draft and submit proposal documents
- Follow post bid closeout procedures
- Attend weekly estimating team meetings
- Performs other tasks and special projects as assigned
