The Material Customer Service Representative provides dedicated sales and logistics operations support for internal (AGC-Japan) material customer service functions.
This role assists in the preparation of price quotations, purchase orders, and documentation, as needed, to ensure the accurate processing of internal customer orders.
This role coordinates effectively with internal departments (such as logistics, procurement, production, and shipping/receiving) to ensure outstanding service and timely communication regarding order status/shipments.
Responsibilities- Communicates with Supply Chain contacts and relevant stakeholders regarding order status, documentation, reschedules, and any other relevant information.
- Communicates cross-functionally regarding customer requirements.
- Manages the flow of information and materials from order entry through delivery for assigned internal accounts.
- Monitors shipment schedules; accurately generate shippers' letter of instruction (SLI) & commercial invoice (CI) documents for specialty shipments.
- Generates basic and complex quotes for customers, including preparing and sending out request for quote (RFQs) for subcontractors.
- Establishes strong relationships with stakeholders; works to maintain the excellent relationship between AGC locations.
- Works with internal departments to meet customer's needs
- Ability to speak and write Japanese fluently, in a business setting
- 4 years' experience in account focused customer service role required
- Prior experience working with vendors, purchase orders, and quotes
- ERP experience;
Infor Cloud Suite Industrial preferred
