NW REGIONAL ESD'S MISSION STATEMENT: In Partnership with the communities we serve, Northwest Regional ESD improves student learning by providing equitable access to high quality services and support.
GENERAL DESCRIPTIONThis position assists the Department Executive Director or Director with administering the Oregon Response to Instruction and Intervention state project grant, Early Literacy programs and other district facing services assigned to the department. Work includes supervision of staff, oversight and reporting of project activities outlined in the ORTII grant agreement, and adaptive development of programming. The Program Administrator provides oversight for a team of coaches that work across the state and coaches who work only within the region.
The position leads coaches in content development, event planning, equitable resourcing and delivery of professional learning. Program Administrators are antiracist leaders responsible for program development, improvement, administration, standards, monitoring, accountability, and reporting within the mission and vision of the NWRESD and the specific assignment given by the supervisor. These programs are implemented in accordance with ESD policies and procedures, Oregon statutes and administrative rules, and federal laws and regulations, and are consistent with and supportive of the instructional programs carried out in the local districts in which the ESD operates.
- Oregon Response to Instruction and Intervention (ORTII)
- Utilize new and existing team infrastructure to offer statewide resources and deliver professional learning and coaching support to Oregon schools
- Demonstrate the ability to leverage resources to improve student outcomes in literacy by administering the ORTII program model
- Facilitate the delivery of technical assistance in the areas of instructional practices and systems improvement that directly impact academic outcomes
- Model and support the scale‑up of an effective coaching model that integrates with other school district improvement initiatives
- Co‑design project goals with ODE partners, carry out and report on all project activities detailed in the grant agreement, on the established timelines
- Supervise and develop a team of professional learning coaches and administrative support that implements and facilitates the work
- Work with NWRESD department leadership to ensure fiscal responsibility and grant spend down in line with the requirements outlined in the agreement with ODE
