Special Education Assistant (6 Hours)
Hours: 6 Hours |
Calendar: 10‑Month |
Location: Hillsboro High School, Hillsboro, OR |
Starting Date: Aug 26, 2026
- Provide educational supports to all students under the direction of licensed staff, focusing on supporting Individual Education Plans.
- Supervise students in various settings and monitor for safety concerns.
- Assist with the implementation of Behavior Support Plans.
- Attend and pass required training:
Two‑day Safety Care Restraint Training and online sessions regarding Special Education Process and Procedures. Employment is contingent upon completion of these courses.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficient oral and written communication in English.
- Proficient in the use of computers and Internet‑based applications, including email and systems applications.
- Hold a valid certificate in a district‑approved student intervention system or be able to obtain one within 60 days.
- Experience working with children.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred (fluency in reading, writing, and speaking two languages as determined by the district screening tool).

Schedule:
Monday–Friday. - Holidays off:
All federally recognized holidays (most paid). - School‑Year Calendar:
Includes winter break, spring break, and summers off. - Paid Time Off:
