Special Education Assistant (6 Hours)

• Provide educational supports to all students under the direction of licensed staff, focusing on supporting Individual Education Plans.
• Supervise students in various settings and monitor for safety concerns.
• Assist with the implementation of Behavior Support Plans.
• Attend and pass required training:
  Two‑day Safety Care Restraint Training and online sessions regarding Special Education Process and Procedures. Employment is contingent upon completion of these courses.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proficient oral and written communication in English.
• Proficient in the use of computers and Internet‑based applications, including email and systems applications.
• Hold a valid certificate in a district‑approved student intervention system or be able to obtain one within 60 days.
• Experience working with children.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred (fluency in reading, writing, and speaking two languages as determined by the district screening tool).
