Our team focuses on spin qubit technology in silicon quantum dots, combining cutting-edge physics with Intel's manufacturing capabilities to create commercially viable quantum computers. We collaborate across Intel's research divisions and with leading academic institutions to advance the field of quantum computing.
Intel's Quantum Computing team is seeking a PhD-level Quantum Device Measurement Engineer to characterize silicon spin qubits at millikelvin temperatures. You'll work hands-on with dilution refrigerators to perform electrical measurements and quantum circuit computations, helping to advance Intel's silicon quantum dot technology. The ideal candidate combines deep expertise in qubit measurement with an innovative mindset and passion for pushing the boundaries of quantum processor this role, you'll independently design experiments, analyze quantum device performance, and collaborate across teams to accelerate Intel's quantum computing roadmap.
We're looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced research environment and can adapt to evolving program needs while maintaining focus on breakthrough results.
** The Quantum Computing Measurement Engineer responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
*** Propose and execute innovative ideas to accelerate Intel's quantum program.
* Study spin qubits in silicon.
* Design and implement experiments
* Hands-on device electrical measurements.
* Analyze data and develop predictive device models.
* Develop efficient device testing and verification methods.
* Use dilution refrigerators.
* Efficiently communicate and collaborate with other groups to determine and validate success criteria.
* Independent design and follow-through of unique, enabling ideas are key expectations for this role.
* Collaboration with external research groups and vendor programs.
* Keep up to date with the latest developments in quantum computing technology.
** Behavioral traits we look for and required for this position:
*** Excellent communication skills.
* Keen experimental insight with the ability to devise and focus on key experiments.
* Highly motivated and excited by self-directed, hands-on work.
