Contract Type: W2 through Staffing Supplier
Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm
Pay Rate: $60/hr
ResponsibilitiesThe main duties are building, configuration, and maintenance of quantum computing test beds in an internal lab, where semiconductor spin qubit devices are measured and integrated into full stack quantum computers. The work includes installation and troubleshooting of quantum computing test and measurement systems, procurement of components with inventory management, and overall project planning and tracking of test and measurement system builds.
Examples of test/validation are: electrical testing of low- and high-speed cryogenic and room temperature wiring, DC leakage, ground loop testing and minimization, and basic device measurements (and more).
In addition, the maintenance includes support for users of the systems, internal documentation of best practices, and communication with lab users and system hardware suppliers. Other duties include attending weekly meetings and communicating progress status in a group setting.
Skill Level & Experience- Three or more years’ hands-on experience in a laboratory setting, including hardware assembly and troubleshooting, both mechanical and electrical in nature.
- Experience with test equipment for performance validation/qualification is required.
- Test equipment includes oscilloscopes, vector network analyzers, and various other electrical systems.
- Python programming for automation of test routines, hands-on cryogenic refrigeration systems experience, hands-on vacuum systems experience, familiarity with PCB layout design, background in the semiconductor industry.
- Min BS degree, will review exp in lieu of degree. Min HS diploma or GED.
