As a Linux Kernel & Driver Developer, you will be supporting cutting‑edge projects that shape the future of cloud computing and server hardware. Job Title: Linux Kernel & Driver Development Engineer
Location: Hillsboro, OR | Fully Onsite
Pay Range: $54-58 per hour on Experis W2 (No C2C)
What's the Job?- Design, implement, and optimize Linux kernel subsystems and device drivers for next‑generation server System on Chips (SoCs).
- Perform hardware bring‑up and validation using prototypes, specialized equipment, and lab setups.
- Debug complex kernel and firmware interactions to ensure performance, reliability, and stability.
- Collaborate closely with silicon design teams, hardware engineers, and firmware developers to define and support new hardware features.
- Develop test plans, run kernel validation suites, and analyze results to identify and resolve defects.
- Extensive experience (5+ years) with Linux kernel subsystem development, including memory management, I/O, networking, or scheduling.
- 5+ years of experience and proficiency in Linux device driver development, debugging, and optimization.
- Experience working with SoC server‑class architectures such as ARM or x86.
- Strong understanding of OS internals, hardware–software interaction, and low‑level debugging tools like ftrace, perf, kmemleak, or kgdb.
- Ability to work onsite with lab hardware, prototypes, and interact with firmware/bootloaders.
- Work on innovative silicon technology powering cloud infrastructure.
- Access unreleased hardware and prototypes, providing a unique engineering experience.
