Bachelor's degree

2-5 years' experience in electron microscopy preferably in a QC / R&D environment

Client Electronics Materials, located in Hillsboro OR, is looking for a full-time technician to perform electron microscopy characterization during the 2nd shift and occasionally on the weekends.

The successful candidate will support R&D projects by on-time execution of SEM imaging and sample prep requests. The candidate will be expected to work independently. Communication and collaboration skills are needed to ensure maximum throughput is achieved in a fast-paced environment. Hands‑on SEM experience is a must have, familiarity with FIB is preferred along with having some basic microscope troubleshooting skills.

• Perform electron microscopy characterization during the 2nd shift and occasionally on weekends.
• Support R&D projects by timely execution of SEM imaging and sample prep requests.
• Work independently with minimum supervision.
• Ensure maximum throughput in a fast-paced environment.
• Use hands‑on SEM and troubleshoot basic microscope issues; familiarity with FIB preferred.

• Ability to hand‑on operate Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) with 2+ years of experience.
• Ability to operate Focused ion beam (FIB) is preferred.
• BS Degree in STEM or related field.
• Basic knowledge in semiconductor industry.
• Familiarity with characterization techniques in general.
• Expected to work independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to 2nd shift most days and occasional weekends.
