Field Service Engineer

About the role

This opening is for a Field Service Engineer position in the Field Service Group. This role will be responsible for providing highly visible customer support through on‑site installation, diagnosis, troubleshooting, service, and repair of complex equipment and systems.

• Perform installation, calibration, repair, and maintenance of equipment at customer sites.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical/electronic systems, assemblies, and subassemblies using block diagrams.
• Perform equipment upgrades.
• Work independently and manage day‑to‑day service activities at assigned customer sites.
• Develop and maintain strong customer relationships at multiple levels.
• Manage customer expectations and schedule service tasks as required.
• Report and track activities, including installations and equipment issues.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance tasks as necessary.
• Compile data for and prepare regular or special reports, analyses, and statements.
• Interface with customers on technical matters.
• Exercise latitude in determining technical objectives of assignments; work is reviewed strategically for business results.
• Run and perform basic process troubleshooting (process experience desired).
• Drive key projects to improve equipment performance.
• Travel as needed to support customers.
• Achieve key metrics such as cost, uptime, safety, and parts availability to meet company and customer goals.
• Support other projects as assigned by management.

• Five years of experience in field service engineering with direct customer interaction, preferably in the semiconductor industry.
• Associate’s degree in electronics or equivalent experience in the electronics field.
• Ensure all safety requirements are satisfied and current as per local and corporate requirements.
